About Georgina Hannay
Georgina Hannay is multi-disciplinary Artist from Mission, BC. Her family emigrated from Wales to Canada where she grew up in North Shore, Vancouver, and then the Fraser Valley.
Her art is created in a variety of mediums, but recently she's focused on painting and creating digital media.
Georgina's influence comes from how she manages her illness and heals. Her subject matter is chosen purely out of her own need to feel movement or transcend to a time and place when her mind and body are completely free of pain and trauma.
Here On Fine Art America she shares her Digital creations, they are visual stories that imitate life in a virtual photo album.
Her digital media work is created in a more controlled manner than her Ocean series. In these works, she displays more of her physical desires and expressions that she cannot share in her real life.
The Ocean seems to be her main inspiration and where she finds her colour pallet and textures. The layers she creates make depth with transparency. The elements that float cause shadows and reflections which emphasize the tranquil, vivid pigments of the delicate and fluid design. This dance with the medium offers Georgina the joy of feeling apart of the flow of floating, bringing her the energy that she sometimes desperately needs.
you will find her Ocean paintings on her Instagram link. here: https://www.instagram.com/wickedpixelartist/
